Once again, you can try out Sirlin Games’ in-development fighter for free this weekend.

David Sirlin’s fighting game project Fantasy Strike held a free access weekend a couple of weeks ago, letting players get some hands-on time with the in-development title. This weekend, we get another chance: a second free weekend will be held, starting at 11:00 AM PDT on August 11th, and ending at 11:59 PM August 14th.

The pre-alpha build you can try out this weekend will feature eight playable fighters, and four stages. Online quick match play will be supported, including cross-play between PC and Mac gamers. A local versus mode, a full-featured training mode, and an arcade mode will also all be available in this preview. It includes several changes since the last free weekend event, including faster pacing, a dedicated button for throwing, smoother online play (using GGPO networking), balance changes, and graphical improvements. You can download your free weekend build here!

Fantasy Strike is currently running a crowdfunding effort on Fig; as the game in in a pre-alpha state, remember that content and features are still in development in the free weekend build.
