Generally, the fighting game community has leaned towards allowing glitches/bugs at first to see how they impact the tournament environment. Not every glitch is ban-worthy, practical, or even useful. However, when Tekken pro Reepal “Rip” Parbhoo brought up the suggestion for banning the recently discovered “infinite super” bug for Tekken 7‘s Eliza, it was hard not to see why it was bad for tournament play:
The Eliza bug should definitely be banned at Evo unless it gets patched out. Unlimited Supers #TEKKEN7 https://t.co/AP78xls6a7

Evo tournament producer and director Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cuellar seemed to agree:
This will be banned at Evo if they don't patch it before Evo.

Note that the ban only impacts the use of super when you don’t have the meter for it! The character — and super when you have resources — are still allowed.
What do you think of the quick decision? Is Eliza just fine without it? Do you think we’ll see a patch from Bandai Namco before Evo?
