A great resource for learning Street Fighter just got even better.

Joe Munday — r/StreetFighter moderator and author of the original Gief’s Gym, a guide to learning to play Street Fighter V — has announced the arrival of a new add-on book: Gief’s Gym: Character Supplements. While the core Gief’s Gym book walks the reader though the myriad of street fighting fundamentals, it uses Ryu (naturally) as the default model for learning. For those that want to take the lessons a step further and pick up character-specific tips and tricks, this book expands on the original to provide exactly that.

With tech vetted by the r/StreetFighter community, you can expect useful tools for every fighter. The new book covers all of the SFV roster except Ed — sorry, Young Commander — but expect future editions to catch up to new DLC. It includes brief synopses and lists specific anti-airs, combos, V-Skill/V-Reversal details and much more for each character.

The book is available now in paperback and via Kindle on Amazon. If you haven’t already, you’ll want to check out the original for the general lessons first!

You can also see Joe Munday talk to The Philocypher about the process behind the second edition of Gief’s Gym here.
