ELEAGUE is showing no signs of stopping its fighting game coverage, as it has just announced that it will be hosting the Injustice 2 World Championship this October, following the success of its Street Fighter V Invitational.

The Injustice 2 World Championship will act as the grand finale of the whole Injustice 2 Championship Series. As a result, we’ll no doubt see finalists from the Pro Series, Hometown Heroes, Path to Pro and Liga Latina being invited to compete in this tournament, so players from all regions have a chance to prove themselves as the world’s best Injustice 2 player.
Unlike the Street Fighter V Invitational, the Injustice 2 World Championship will have an open qualifier portion, starting on October 21st. The final bracket will then be made up of 16 Injustice 2 players, with some being invited and others coming through this qualifier. There is a $250,000 prize pool for the World Championship, so expect anyone and everyone to be fighting to reach that final 16.
