The second CFN beta has come and gone, and with it, Street Fighter V’s Ed has vanished back into the hands of Capcom. This leaves VesperArcade, like many of us, left reflecting on this glimpse of the new Psycho Pugilist, and how he may fit into SFV’s future meta.

Noting Ed’s strengths (simple anti-air execution, V-Trigger, pressure) and glaring weaknesses (problematic range, inconsistent confirms, no auto-corrects), VesperArcade seems concerned that Ed is more fun than functional. With minor tweaks, though–like adjusting the push-out on crouching opponents during counter-hit, or a fix to the weird input overlap between Psycho Flicker and Psycho Upper–he can be both.

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
