If Laura’s not up close and taking you down with her mixups, she’s trying to control your approach and punish your jumps by using her slow-crawling Thunder Clap projectile. To help players deal with this component of Laura’s game plan, Ominous_ compiled this video demonstrating a variety of ways to deal with Thunder Clap, without just jumping over it and eating an anti-air attack.
Knowing what moves your character of choice possesses with projectile-invincibility will help give you the edge; the right kind of trade can also work out in your favor. Examples for almost the whole SFV roster are shown above (including Laura herself, but Kolin players are apparently on their own).
