True believers, your faith has been rewarded!
At long last, after a week full of rumors and fakes, it has been revealed at the opening Showcase of PlayStation Experience 2016–viewable through PlayStation’s Twitch stream–that Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is indeed in development–as rebranded Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite! But it still has a ways to go, with a projected release sometime in 2017. Gameplay footage will be featured tonight, during Capcom Cup 2016’s finals.
Apparently running on Unreal Engine 4, the game will feature 2-versus-2 battles, and the Infinity Stones will play a key role in influencing how battles play out. It will include a “cinematic story experience,” as well as a variety of accessible single player modes, including an Arcade mode. It’s bound for PlayStation 4, Steam and Xbox One.
That’s not enough, Marvel fans? How about Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 returning to the PlayStation Store? It will apparently become available for download today. It will also be coming to PC and Xbox One in March 2016, according to this new trailer:
When Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono showed up this morning sporting a “When’s Mahvel” T-shirt, it became clear something was up. Marvel vs. Capcom fans have a lot to look forward to; stay locked on to Shoryuken for more information on this long-awaited reveal as it surfaces.
