Is a New Age of Heroes upon us?
Over the past two days, rumors that an upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 4 reveal is immiment at the upcoming PlayStation Experience have been circulating throughout the internet–with their apparent origin point being in a NeoGAF forum thread, then ripping into Twitter like a Berserker Barrage.
Admist the discussion, the following images have surfaced–supposedly from a reveal trailer?
VesperArcade took to his YouTube channel to discuss (and in some areas, debunk) these MvC4 rumors. He wisely reminds us of the Baiken “leak” that worked up the Guilty Gear community not too long ago, and how that turned out (spoiler: it was fake).
And of course, a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 producer has chimed in, denying anything is in the works for a Marvel vs. Capcom 4:
Thanks for keeping the love for the game going! I would love to make #mvc4, but nothing's happening on that front. RT @PG_Erdogan @JWonggg N

Is it an orchestrated leak, or just lies gaining momentum from a fanbase eager for a follow-up to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3? It is possible that Yoshinori Ono later denied that the Akuma reveal trailer from Red Bull Battle Grounds indicated Akuma was coming to Street Fighter V, because it was actually some kind of bait-and-switch for a MvC4 playable reveal at PlayStation Experience instead?
December 3rd’s Capcom Cup will put to rest what is real, and what is hope and speculation–but Mahvel may be sooner than we expected.
