In part due to the large expansion going on in the Skullgirls community, there are a lot more combo and tech videos coming from new sources than ever before. It’s a great time for Skullgirls fans, as well as anyone curious about the state of the game today. So, here we’ve grabbed a sample of what the community is up to from various parts of the world.

First up, we have a short tech video from Abraham Rodriguez, who lives in Mexico. He regularly participates in his local scene and does whatever he can to make it out to US tournaments. In his video, he highlights a minor detail about Peacock that can mean the difference between a kill and losing the match.

Next up, we have some gameplay footage from one of Skullgirls’ most famous Japanese players, Poccola_margherita0141, playing against other prominent Japanese players. He’s most well known for his zany edits and screen effects that he lays over the game when editing. One of these editing tricks was so wacky that it was actually added into the game. Next time you get a Double Snap in game, know that the speed lines and change in music are called “The Poccola Effect”.

We also have a little something for fans of lesser used characters. Big Band/Painwheel is a very peculiar team setup, but it nets this incredibly optimal combo for Big Band in the corner, which may be enough to persuade some people to give the team a try.

We also have a Ms.Fortune combo from Kit Ballard. The combo she shows us is pretty damaging off of a Hard counterhit, leading to big damage for Fortune.

To wrap up this collection, we have a compilation of some interesting combo videos from NanoNEVERMIND.
