“Super Street Fighter Carnival” is the regularly occurring tournament series of Japan’s famous Mikado Arcade. The series cherishes arcade titles of old, bringing out high level play for a wide variety of vintage games. SSFC2016 is the current tournament season, scheduled to go from 10/11 to 12/16. It’s previous season, SSFC7, was covered here.

If you know a little Japanese (or, if you want to play everyone’s favorite game: deciphering google translations), you can preview this seasons’ games and player scores with Mikado’s public Drive document. Two events have already completed: The King of Fighters ’95 and Samurai Showdown 3.

You can follow the action by subscribing to Mikado’s official YouTube channel. For the night owls in the US, you can even try to catch them when they livestream.

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
