We’re now well into our second official day with Street Fighter V, and the videos are rolling in! We’ve got strategy videos, guides, and, of course, plenty of combos to share today, so let’s get going.
To get us started, David “UltraDavid” Graham of UltraChen TV offers up a quick guide for the Red Cyclone. If you’re looking to give Zangief a whirl, this video will get you started down the right path with information on walk speed, dashes, normals, V-Skill, and V-Trigger application, and much more.
If you’ve spent time fighting against Rashid, you’ve certainly found yourself knocked down with a tornado on top of you at least once. And, let’s face it, there aren’t a lot of things worse than waking up inside a tornado. What those on the receiving end of his wind storm, as well as those slinging the funnel clouds, may not yet know is that the wind actually enhances nearly everything the fighter has. This includes adding extra hits to Spinning Mixer, making his standing roundhouse hop multiple character lengths, giving his overhead incredible range, and much more. The video below, from Jonathan Iheonu, explains it all.
When R. Mika lands a crush counter with her charged roundhouse, there’s plenty of room for her to get in and do massive damage. This next video, from DridriKon explores some of the more damaging options the wrestler receives when scoring such a hit.
AquaTeamV3 took the time to break down Karin’s crouching fierce Crush Counter. Since this button results in a launch, Karin players can expect to net massive damage, and even a handful of tricky reset options off the hit.
Hurtbox TV has been busy putting together some combo videos in the same style we’ve come to know them for. These two offerings, one each for F.A.N.G. and Vega, include various options for plenty of situations and meter costs.
Maybe you’re in it to get quick, clean, reliable damage. If that’s the case, this small collection of no-frills combos from rooflemonger are just what you’re looking for. With a video dedicated to Chun-Li, one to Birdie, and a third to R. Mika, there’s plenty of love to go around.
In a similar fashion, evilneeko shares up some combo potential for both Nash and Ryu.
When he’s not rocketing rap superstars to the top of the Street Fighter V rankings, legendary* fight promoter Honzo Gonzo spends his time crafting in-depth combo guides for those of us who’ve yet to land a record deal. He hasn’t yet gotten to the entire cast, but we’ve included his current releases for Birdie, Ken, F.A.N.G, and Necalli.
On top of extensive in-game footage, these guides come with complete notation transcripts so you won’t miss a hit. Who knows, if you follow these guides you too could some day topple a fighting game legend.
*Legendary status pending.
We know you’ve found something to share, too, so send it our way!
