Just before the year’s end, Sega, Arc System Works, and Koei Tecmo hosted APM D-1 FIGHTING FESTIVAL, a massive tournament highlighting their various properties and the players who excel at playing them.

Competition was held in Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-, Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX IGNITION, Koihime Enbu, Blade Arcus from Shining, and Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Last Round, but as Japan is often wont to do, the format was rather…intense. Attendees were given only one game to defeat their opponent, and there wasn’t a losers bracket to use as backup if you lost. Yikes.

Sega recently provided a huge archive of the event’s broadcast, giving folks just under ten hours of footage to enjoy if they missed out on the live stream. Due to its extreme length, we’ve included four separate instances of the video below that jump to an appropriate timestamp to save you some searching.

Some of the players you can expect to see compete include Purepure, Mocchi, Nage, FAB, XYLiSH, Meru, OZ, gamera, and Jawa Curry Akira, among others. Various results can be found in our coverage hub.
