By on December 19, 2014 at 9:11 am

Some time ago, we reported that EXAMU was working on a new fighting game called Nitroplus Blasters: Heroines Infinite Duel. Developed in partnership with Nitroplus, the game features female characters from the visual novel publisher’s games battling it out as both playable and support characters.

For those curious about the new game, 4Gamer has posted new character art and screenshots of some of the playable heroines and their support fighters. These include Ein from Phantom of Inferno, Mora from Vampirdzhija Vjedogonia, Muramasa from Full Metal Daemon Muramasa, Ruili from Kikokugai: the Cyber Slayer, and Saya from Saya no Uta.

Support characters that have been announced include Natsumi Aihara from Hello, World, Another Blood from Kishin Hishou Demonbane, Ishima Kaigen from Hanachirasu, Dragon from Dra†KoI, Franco Il Nero from Zoku Satsuriki no Django: Jigoku no Shoukinkubi, Spica from Star Mine Girl, and Miyuki Sone from Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi.

    No Zwei, no buy! LOL
I think this will be an all-girls fighting game. O_O

  • Tim Barnes

i need vids, the screens look better than fucking Dengeki i tell you what

    • JeanLucAwesome

Yeah the sprites definitely look better than Dengeki.

    • Go2hell66

wow this game looks really fun

    • TheBlackRabbit

      looks a lil slow.

      • Vesperion

It’s made by Examu who makes Aquapazza, and Arcana Heart.

        • TheBlackRabbit

oh….i dont know how to feel about that. i see potential but then….waterpazza

          • dubaloseven

Aquapazza was great aside from the emotion mechanic.

          • TheBlackRabbit

            it was ok i used….CHIZURUUUUUUUUU

          • dubaloseven

I used Chizuru in that game too. She was a blast to use.

          • TheBlackRabbit

            she was cheap XD

          • dubaloseven

I didn’t think so, she had to get in close to do anything and got zoned fairly easy.

          • TheBlackRabbit

that’s what your assist was for. they have to block the assist giving her a potential mix up. You didn’t really have to work for it either.

    • Vesperion

      Setsuna always delivers

  • Eben Amadeus Selker

To me this looks like Aquapazza 2, but I’m honestly fine with that.

  • himura

it looks freakin fantastic!!! What a year of FGs, What a YEAR!!!

  • tanbu

Saya from Saya no Uta? DAMN

  • TheBlackRabbit

  • Anjon

Ugh… Saya really doesn’t work in this generic anime art style. Actually, I could say that about a lot of the characters here. What’s the point of bringing them in if you’re not going to bring in their individual styles? Shouldn’t she basically be an undulating pile of nightmare flesh that occasionally takes a human form?

    • Peter Loney (ピーター)

You never see Saya’s actual form in Saya no Uta, why would you see it here?

      • Anjon

I never said she would have an actual form. She shouldn’t have a defined form at all. The whole “girl in white dress” is only projected onto the protagonist of the game, so no one in this game would be seeing that. They would be seeing what she’s implied to actually be: a formless mass of flesh. It wouldn’t be an actual form because she doesn’t have one.

Point I’m getting at is they went through the trouble of bringing one of the most iconic characters in the VN genre into a fighting game, but then made her super generic anime, which defeats the entire point.

Sometimes I really do hate Japan.

    • dubaloseven

and sometimes I really hate you.

More low-budget, mediocre, forgettable, Japanophile wet dream garbage with terrible/pretentious names. Will be dead in a week when the next low-budget, mediocre, forgettable garbage anime game with terrible/pretentious names gets announced that makes lonely feebs leave vague comments like “looks interesting” just because they saw something that gave them a hard on.

    • ivanchu77
      • Yep, pretty much. Sometimes I figure WINBACK tries way too hard at times. Oh well…..

        • peter her

Well its the truth how many animu fighters will come out with body pillows and freaky as weird stuff.

    • dubaloseven

    • Guest

Oh look it’s that yankee loving nintendrone having who hates anything japanese (Capcom, Bamco, ASW, SEGA etc.) games having fun with netherrealm manface go back to the assylum you ISIS terrorist…

  • Dragoomba

It seems many of the people here aren’t familiar with the first fighting game to feature Nitroplus characters.

Probably one of the worst fighting games I’ve ever played, and I play every indie doujin fighter there is. Hopefully this one is at least playable, lol.

    • Kal-El Freeman

Yeah, I remember playing it years ago.

Definitely on my worst list as well lol.

  • Arrahdre

nother waifu fighter….I’d rather play Skullgirls..

    • Ellie Goulding

      >waifu fighter
      >rather play Skullgirls
      >play Skullgirls

    • Vesperion

Talking about a waifu fighter, but rather play Skullgirls?

      • Arrahdre

yeah, if I’m going to ply a gm with a mostly all female cast, I’d rather ply SGs..dont know whats the problem here..

        • Terel Denton

Are you honestly that retarded that you can’t figure out you contradicted yourself? How did you even get likes?

  • MasterScrub

Nitroplus has male characters too, but nah fuck that. There clearly aren’t enough otaku pandering waifu fighters on the market.

  • EndRant

    That looks pretty good.

  • Cael

Assist only characters in a cross-over game. As retarded as ever.

    • Rockito

      Better than Skullgirls.

    • dubaloseven

That always kills me. It’s my main gripe with Dengeki, you seriously couldn’t have fit Touma or Celty in as fighters but you can fit 10 other billion assists. Bullshit.

  • samirerre

wow the doujin games hit a new low.

  • eyoh_Ajax

  • peter her

Hmm have you all play these games in the raw with out translations. I havent, but i have played the more obscure ones like GJ,Guilty,Candysoft, waffle, bishop, these other companies. Would be funny if this game was rated that rating what was 0 the one for adults due to the nature that these characters are from you know Visual Novels or Eroge for short. Unless this is a promo to play these games, the visual novels i mean.

  • Blackzero123 .

Not a lot people may know this but Saya is from a Hentai/Horror Novel. The reason her attacks like hideous tentacles is because she is a monster that girl form is an alternate view.

  • CharmingRogue

An all-waifu fighting game? Count me in!
