Live from FACE Shinjuku in Tokyo, Japan is the Ultra Street Fighter IV Isshuu Sengeki Cup finals tournament. Isshuu Sengeki Cup (“One Autumn, One Thousand Strikes”, a play on Akuma’s Wrath of the Raging Demon) is the Grade A event of Capcom and TAITO’s national tournaments in Japan, featuring a sizable prize pool.

Isshuu Sengeki Cup consists of a singles and 3on3 competition. While the 3on3 tournament will be a standard winners-stay team format, the singles event is a Capcom Pro Tour premier tournament, with a double-elimination, best of 3 games format (best of 5 games for the Grand Final). • Raphaël 無駄無駄無駄

Best tournament of the year beside the TGS and the Topanga League.
And I already smell the salt from the Daigo’s fanboys, who didn’t even make top 8 in the single tournament, which means E.Ryu doesn’t fit his style…

    LOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL !!!

Beside, just look at his performance in the 3 VS 3 tournament : he defeated a team composed of Amiyu – the best Gen i the world beside Xian -, Gachikun – one of the 3 best Sagat in the world -, and Hagejin – arguably the best Gief in japan, probably the best in the world as well beside S.Eyes.

And please, feel free to see how many PP and BP he has on xbox live, beside his pourcentage of victory in arcade : 79 %.

I don’t think his lost today has something to do with the fact the character doesn’t fit, stop sucking diXXX and give credits to all the other players.

    This is Japan.

For you guys Daigo is the absolute God because he won often in the US, but this is Japan, and in Japan there’s so much good players that the possibility for him to be 1st is much much lower than wining a US tourney (except Evo).

Nishikin, Hagejin, Amiyu, MDR, Gachikun, Tarezo, Ninomae, Dath etc..all of them are able to win any US major as well. Just look at the last TGS : a unkwnon (for the US) players won the whole thing and people was suprised. When it will stops ? I means, this is Japan guys !!! It’s time to wake up now and start to think different I guess.

One Adon beat Daigo, Mago and Tokido? Wow!!

  • It’s amazing how many different characters are in the top 16 both in this tournament and the Fall Classic. Is this because Ultra is a mess or is it really well balanced? Or perhaps the mechanics changes like DWU and Red Focus have reinvented the game.
