Yesterday marked the North American release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the newest addition to the RPG-inspired airdasher series. The title landed both on store shelves and digital marketplaces for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the latter version of which wasn’t released in Japan.
The game’s launch on a Microsoft system stands in stark contrast to recent and upcoming titles within this fighting sub-genre. Blazblue: Chronophantasma and Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late only made appearances on Sony systems and the upcoming, long-anticipated Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is currently only announced for the Playstation line of consoles.
We at Shoryuken would like to know how much of an impact this system-exclusive status has had on anime fighting communities, so feel free to let us know whether you picked up Ultimax for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360; if you’ve not yet purchased a copy, but plan to in the future, go ahead and click accordingly as well.
