This weekend at EGX, fans of Mortal Kombat were able to get a hands-on look at the franchise’s upcoming tenth installment in its current state. As expected, some new things were discovered in the latest build, including a new x-ray attack for the series’ resident god of thunder, Raiden.
The fighter’s first x-ray attack was shown in his release trailer and featured a small amount of lightning followed by a bone-breaking teleport punch to the vitals which may have left some fans wanting more.
If you were among those wishing for a more brutal series of blows, you’ll be happy to find that this new attack animation sports severe thunderstorms as well as a much less generic feel–quite fitting for such an iconic character.
While those of you checking out Mortal Kombat videos likely expect to find gruesome footage, I still feel obligated to note that the below video falls into the NSFW category, so watch at your own risk!
