Due to it simply being a re-release, the version of Guilty Gear XX #Reload that recently landed on Steam is sadly lacking in any sort of online play. That said, there’s now a solution for those who want to be able to play this classic online – GGXXNET, a fan-made online patch initially made for the original PC release in Japan, has now been updated to be compatible with the Steam version.

GGXXNET allows online play equipped with GGPO-style adjustable input delay, along with a host of other features such as replays, a palette editor, match spectating, and some other fixes such as the ability to adjust window size.

For those interested in getting this to work with their Steam copies of the game, Flotilla has written an in depth how-to guide that you can read here.

If you’ve yet to pick up a copy of #Reload, it is currently on sale for $8.99 through September 12.
