The past few months have been a great time to stock up on fighting games for fans looking to expand their lineup, and this week is set to continue that trend with a few sales on PlayStation Network and Steam.

First up, Sony is offering discounts on BlazBlue: Chronophantasma and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle as part of their Anime Sale. All users will be able to pick up these titles at a lower price, with PlayStation Plus subscribers able to take advantage of further price drops. Also, for those of you out there interested in trying out an older version of BlazBlue on a handheld device, the PlayStation Vita version of Continuum Shift EXTEND has also been marked down.

Additionally, last week’s Aquapazza sale is still in effect for those of you who have yet to take advantage.

The chart below covers everything you’ll need to know about these deals.

Title Playstation Plus Price Sale Price Original Price
BlazBlue: Chronophantasma (PS3) $19.59 $27.99 $39.99
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle (PS3) $24.49 $34.99 $49.99
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND (Vita) $3.75 $7.49 $14.99

But should you be in the mood for something on PC, recently released doujin fighter Vanguard Princess is currently available for only $2.49, half-off its normal price of $4.99.

PlayStation Network’s sales will only last through August 19, with Vanguard Princess’ ending the day before on August 18, so be sure to snatch up any titles you may want before then.

does anyone know if i get ps plus trail, will i still be able to get Blazblue for $20?

    • Isarael Villa

well, you are part of plus during the trial…so the discount will work.

      • Eggyroll

ooo cool, i’ll try it out

  • tickles

on the one hand, blazblue is half off, on the other hand, it’s blazblue.

    • Glenn Vaughn

      Oh you!

    • Catacul

BlazBlue is a nice game. Not as good as Guilty Gear, but still a nice game.

      • Glenn Vaughn

        Guilty gear. 4ever overrated

    • Go2hell66

      dafuq is wrong with blazblue

  • Connor Phoenix

I’d have bought BlazBlue if this was available in the UK 🙁

  • For the love of all things holy, DO NOT buy JoJo’s if you plan to play online. Hands down, THEE worst netcode ever, shame on you Bamco.

    • Ren

I think people buy it for the characters, I counted the DLC characters, if you buy all the dlc characters it’s around $18(9 chars in 1.99 each), so with plus discount you essentially buy the whole game in original price.

      And, I can wait.

jojos netplay is so bad its almost on rip off levels. i love the game but such a huge aspect of it is ruined

  • nothing

I’d consider buying BB, if they didn’t screw people with pay to play DLC characters. Sell stages, and costumes, and colors, and whatever other aesthetics you can think of. But, the moment you start trying to charge for characters or anything that changes the actual gameplay, I’m out.

I’m surprised they haven’t tried to sell new special moves for characters or new gameplay mechanics.

    • Edwin Obando Chacon

You are not forced to pay for extra colours, its just an option.

    • tickles

they overcharge for their dlc characters, but I don’t think that makes character dlc inherently bad.

So I was wondering, for how much can you find a used version of this game on shops such as gamestop ? I really want to play this game but as an European I refuse to show any support for a company such as ASW. And since I’m currently in New York (and Philadelphia next week) I thought about trying to get a used version of the game while I’m here.
