According to a recent announcement, Capcom will be updating the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and arcade versions of Ultra Street Fighter IV on August 8. This update comes just after the retail release of the title for consoles, and focuses on a number of bugs found within the game.
In addition, the update for arcade version will add summer vacation costumes for the entire cast. These costume packs will be available for purchase in the home versions on August 12.

Blanka
- Crouch MK: Advantage on counter-hit increased from +5F to +8F; bug that caused Blanka’s hit-stop to be less than the opponent’s fixed. (Now both characters experience the full hit-stop)
Dee Jay
- M Jackknife Maximum: Fixed bug that caused the move to do less damage on counter-hit than on normal hit.
Decapre
- EX Scramble (L+M): Fixed bug that caused EX version follow-ups to not come out at certain timings.
- Focus Attack, Red Focus Attack: Hurtbox during Red Focus Attack expanded, now matches the normal Focus Attack’s hurtbox.
El Fuerte
- Close Stand LP: Chain cancel version of the move had a smaller hitbox than the normal version. Hitbox of the chain cancel version has been changed to match the normal version.
Evil Ryu
- EX Tatsumaki Senpukyaku: Fixed bug that cause the move to not hit on some characters under certain conditions.
Fei Long
- Crouch LK: Chain cancel version start-up was 1 frame faster than the normal version. The start-up of the chain cancel version has been fixed to match the normal version.
Hakan
- Crouch LK: Chain cancel version move recovery was 1 frame more than the normal version. The recovery of the chain cancel version has now been fixed to match the normal version.
Hugo
- Standing Motion:Fixed bug that caused Hugo to not have a hurtbox at the feet while moving from crouching to standing.
- Stand LP: Chain cancel version recovery was 3 frames more than the normal version. Recovery of the chain cancel version have been fixed to match the normal version.
- Crouch LP: Chain cancel version recovery was 3 frames less than the normal version. Recovery of the chain cancel version have been fixed to match the normal version.
Focus Attack, Red Focus Attack: Added a hurtbox between Hugo’s legs during Focus Attack release.
Juri
- Far Stand LK: Chain cancel version start-up was 1 frame slower than the normal version. The start-up of the chain cancel has been fixed to match the normal version.
M.Bison
- Red Focus Attack, EX Red Focus Attack: Fixed bug where under certain conditions, Level 1 Red Focus Attack and EX Red Focus Attack had 1 point difference in damage.
Oni
- Focus Attack, Red Focus Attack: Hurtbox during Red Focus Attack expanded, now matches the normal Focus Attack’s hurtbox.
Poison
- Standing Motion: Fixed bug that caused Poison to not have a hurtbox at the feet while moving from crouching to standing.
- Close Stand LP, Close Stand LK, Far Stand LK, Crouch LP, Crouch LK: Fixed bug that cause chain cancel reception timing to be different from other characters.
- Crouch LP: Chain cancel version start-up was 1 frame slower than the normal version. The start-up of the chain cancel version has been fixed to match the normal version.
- Crouch LK: Chain cancel version start-up was 1 frame slower than the normal version, and chain cancel version recovery was 3 frames more than the normal version. Both have been fixed to match the normal version.
Rolento
- Mekong Delta Escape: Bug that would cause Rolento to perform a triangle jump from a position that wasn’t at the wall if an opponent was in between Rolento and the wall fixed.
Seth
- Tanden Storm: Fixed bug that caused Delayed Stand to be impossible if downed by any hit but the last.
Vega
- Flying Barcelona Special: Fixed so that after the knee attack hits an airborne opponent in the corner, you can now catch the opponent with Rolling Izuna Drop.
Yang
- Close Stand LK, Far Stand LK:Chain cancel version start-up was 1 frame slower than the normal version. The start-up of the chain cancel version has been fixed to match the normal version.
