Kevin “PPMD” Nanney Chosen to Lead Evil Geniuses’ New Super Smash Bros. Division

Evil Geniuses, one of the largest teams in competitive gaming, have just announced that top Super Smash Bros. Melee player Kevin “PPMD” Nanney will be joining their ranks. Often considered the best Falco on the planet, he is renowned for his incredible precision, smart decision-making, and his theoretical, by-the-book approach to the game, all of which have led him to become a dominant force in Melee.

Nanney has won many tournaments throughout the last few years, including the recent international event Apex 2014, where he took the gold in a very convincing fashion over players like CT.EMP|Mew2King, MIOM|Mango, and more.

With this signing, Evil Geniuses has made their very first investment into competitive Super Smash Bros. Nanney joins other high-level fighting game competitors such as Justin Wong, Ricky Ortiz, Eduardo “PR Balrog” Perez, Yusuke Momochi, Yuko “ChocoBlanka” Kusachi, and Kenneth “K-Brad” Bradley, the last of which joined the organization very recently.

“I am nothing short of ecstatic to join one of the greatest eSports organizations ever!” Nanney said of the sponsorship. “My goal is to have my partnership with EG serve as a beacon of opportunity for Smash and our own ambitions. I am proud of EG, Melee and myself for making this all come together. I will do my best to represent the community well!”

Yesterday, Nanney’s previous sponsor Calvin “GimR” Lofton of VG Bootcamp released a video discussing the move and wishing his former teammate all the best with his new organization.
