While the sequel to Persona 4 Arena, the collaborative effort between Arc System Works and Atlus, only appeared in arcades last November, the developers are set to provide another major update to the fighter.
At the end of Taito Station’s national tournament earlier tonight, it was announced that Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold would be upgraded to a new version sometime in the future. The title has already seen three revisions since its initial release, the most notable of which added a Persona-equipped version of original character Sho Minazuki to the playable cast.
Arc System Works provided no other details on the update, but the mere fact that it was revealed during a major tournament leads us to believe it will be far more substantial than the past three. The new version may even have something to do with the teaser shown at the end of a previous trailer.
It also remains to be seen whether or not these changes will be reflected in the console releases later this year. For now, feel free to let us know what you would like to see out of this future update, and stay tuned to Shoryuken for more information.
