The official SoCal Regionals 2014 website was updated earlier tonight with more information on the various exhibitions the event will host.

In addition to normal competition, Southern California will field two separate teams against Northern California’s best. These exhibitions, which were first announced last month, will see separate Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 teams made up of players from Wednesday Night Fights and The Runback respectively take on squads led by EG|PR Balrog and Filipino Champ.

While we’ve known the rosters for the Marvel teams for some time, this announcement has given us a clear look at who will be duking it out in Street Fighter for NorCal. The teams are as follows:

Next, Level|Up Series has set up a special welcoming gift for the visiting east coast players of Team Control Gaming: a three-on-three Marvel match against a trio of high-level west coast players!

Control’s RayRay, Unknown, and Flux will have their hands full being put up against KillerKai, BROKENTIER’s Angelic, and Apologyman of Macro Micro Gaming; who do you think will walk away victorious?

The last exhibition forgoes the team format of the others to pit Evil Geniuses’ Justin Wong against Khaos in a grueling first-to-ten Marvel vs. Capcom 2 match. Who will win out in this battle of veteran competitors?

With this recent announcement, SoCal Regionals 2014 is shaping up to be one of the largest, craziest tournaments our community has seen. Be sure to tune in this weekend, February 28 to March 2, to catch all the action live and let us know how you voted in the above polls in our comment section.
