a-cho’s official channel recently shared replays from a couple of Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold tournaments held on their premises late in 2013. The first video is from the “P4UF Thunder Fire Power Bomb” 2-on-2 team tournament held last December 28. We’ve also included translated results in the toggle box following the replay.

The second video is from the follow-up singles tournament called “P4UF Shining Moonsault Press” held the day after on December 29. Again, we’ve posted the footage and results below.

D3v has worn many hats within the general fighting game community. The self proclaimed "Asian white boy" from the Philippines has done everything from arcade stick modification to match commentary. When not writing for Shoryuken's front page, D3v spends part of his time running tournaments in the Philippines, including the country's biggest fighting game event, Manila Cup.

Can we all at least agree that Persona 4: Arena wins hands down for best music in a Fighting Game?

    • Captain Beefheart

Not in a world where Guilty Gear exists.

      • SavingPrincess

I’ll put “The Hero From Junes” against any GG song.

        • yeee geee

As long as you’re talking about the Korean OST then I can definitely agree with you.

OMG dat crossup @ 9:13 on the first video… should that even be possible?

    • datagram

What crossup? I don’t see a crossup there.

      • SavingPrincess

Yukiko’s Persona goes behind Aigis, I don’t know if this forces a block direction change or not, but it looks like it does.

        • datagram

It doesn’t, but it does hit overhead; Yukiko can use it to set up unblockables.

akihiko plays like a umvc character

Man, seeing all those new moves is getting me really hype. Also, dat unblockable:

  • Quan Chi

characters talk too much for my tastes.
