Here’s something interesting for any players sticking with Gouken in Capcom’s upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV. Irxevan recently shared a brand new video that explores what might be possible when the update hits.

To do this, Irxevan uses the PC version of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 combined with KingBlackToof’s mod that changes the game using known changes and frame data from the Ultra Street Fighter IV location tests. Check out the video below and share your thoughts on it and Gouken’s changes in the comments.

D3v has worn many hats within the general fighting game community. The self proclaimed "Asian white boy" from the Philippines has done everything from arcade stick modification to match commentary. When not writing for Shoryuken's front page, D3v spends part of his time running tournaments in the Philippines, including the country's biggest fighting game event, Manila Cup.

Very nice indeed. I wonder what the 5 frame EX Hurricane opens up now too…

I really hope this isn’t all Gouken gets. With the buff the other characters are getting, these seem more like bugfixes. Also Cr HP needs more hitstun or EX palm needs more speed.Right now the random whiffs make it risky to do the combo at farther distances

At least your character is still playable, unlike zangief where opponents get a garantee’d throw after our bnb
