Why have twitch streams been laggy lately? NicoNico has better quality
    (now thats F’d Up)

    • Candle Ja

I found out about a work around. If you have the VLC media player, download livestreamer. It’s a program that opens livestreams into VLC instead of dealing with flash and scripts(the reason why Twitch is sucking now). After installing livestreamer, type “cmd” in your start menu’s search bar. In the command prompt type “livestreamer [URL of livestream here without brackets] [video quality here(low/medium/high) without brackets]“. VLC will open up and play the livestream. Keep the cmd window open, if you close it then VLC closes too.

If it says “no streams found” do it again but leave that extra / out of the URL.

      • Steven

        Thank you

      • hismit

Thank you. That’s very useful. But I got a question: some streams don’t have quality setting. So what should I type after the stream URL if there’s no quality options for the stream?

        • Felipe Pereira

i use better twitch tv, it has an option for that.

      • bavobbr

How does it handle ads? I guess it simply skips those? If so I’m afraid Twitch will quickly close the loop-hole

  • PJ

    HOORAY for online training moooooooode!!!!

  • dopeedoo

Online training mode? So, is the netcode fixed so that this can be an actual viable thing?

    • Azrael VG

can you please direct me to a decent fighting game that has good online latency/netcode? They all seem laggy to me.

  • bavobbr

  • AdamJenson

Subscriber only archives? FFS greedy fucking FGC fucktards. Watch the FGC grow slowly or not grow at all thanks to this stupid shit.

    • Or grow for dollars and cents.

      • AdamJenson

No you need more viewers to grow. Charging viewers to watch will not make it grow.

For example do you think Facebook would be where it is today if it charged members in the early days?

        • ReddChief78

You can blame the childish stream monsters for that not Capcom IT’S FREE TO WATCH charging to see the stream maybe greedy but sub only chat is understandable

        • ReoAyanami

Running facebook is a lot different then running a stream.

        • You missed what I was saying, but all right.
          Narrow-mindedness is bliss, eh?

    • Remster

Yah the FGC isn’t going to be able to grow it all because they’ll have to watch youtube videos instead of stream archives!

      • Mash Harder

subscriber only archives either fucks international viewers and/or people who have jobs. It is a bad thing and you are a bad person for supporting it.

        • SgtKardashian

I see where you are coming from but I implore you look at it from this way,

-Streaming isn’t cheap and most streamers aren’t paid.
-If you can catch all the action on Youtube, this isn’t much of an issue (nor an effective strategy for streamers who will need to figure a way off of mitigating Youtube’s effect or capitalizing off of it.)
          – If you have a job (barring no other inhibitors like not making enough money or anything else) you should people to pay for the stream if you feel the experience of getting access to those archives is worth more than the amount you put in.

          • 0bscura

exactly, its not worth it. Even though its a miniscule amount of money that I spend more on coffee daily, i would still rather not pay it because i don’t support gouging. it should be free, and paying for stuff like this just opens us up to more nickel-and-diming in the future.

          • Emezie Okorafor

“it should be free, and paying for stuff like this just opens us up to more nickel-and-diming in the future.”

Let me get this straight. Capcom gives away $20000 in tournament money FOR FREE…runs and streams a massive tournament worldwide FOR FREE…opens the event up to the public for FREE…let’s people play an unreleased USF4 for FREE.

            And, you STILL feel entitled?

You’re STILL going to accuse Capcom of nickel-and-diming?

And, let’s not even begin to talk about the half-million dollars that Capcom basically tossed at the FGC last year FOR FREE. Let’s just ignore all that. Everyone else does…

This is typical. Walk around the MOUNTAIN of free stuff, trip over the PEBBLE of paid content. Throw a fit.

This is the type of “fan” that companies start ignoring, because they eventually realize that you have no intention of paying for anything.

          • 0bscura

oh look another person throwing around the word “entitled” not knowing what it means.
Lol @ 20k being a lot of money
I have no intention of paying for anything? I’ve bought SF4 a total of 5 times actually. If you want me to pay, offer me something that’s worth paying for.
They already get ad money on the stream.
There’s no reason to charge for archives when the stream itself is free, all it does is annoy people.

      http://www.nicovideo.jp/user/37018364

quality isnt the best if you are not a premium nico member but still watchable

    • Art Salmons

10 dollars a ticket AND 5 more for some popcorn? Fuck that, the movie industry is totally going to fail.

  • bavobbr
  • Steven

Man, hopefully the next Marvel is on MvC 2 level or higher

  • Allan Medeiros

Haitani is not out yet! Alioune is out instead!

    • Someone needs to sponsor that man asap

  • Allan Medeiros

Someone could correct the SSFIV AE ranking? Haitani is playing right now against Gackt, lol

  • marvin83

Is there a place to order those Street Fighter Gunnar cases? I don’t see them on their site.

  • wes yoshida

    So happy for Sako. 🙂

  • Mono Mau

hmm no upload of the ae grand final yet? 🙁

  • AnhVuDo

    FLOCKER!!! WHAT HAPPENED???

    • Fraud.

      • AnhVuDo

No wonder he wasn’t voted on the 8 based on most hype!

    • Vintage

Zero can’t stand up to MorriDoom.

Hell, no one can stand up to MorriDoom.

  • EUGENE C WOLF

I hate to say it, but I could never see the FGC ever being able to grow as big as LoL or any of those other esports giants. It’s just the nature and design of fighting games themselves imo, just way to complex for anyone to simply want to pick up and keep playing. So much effort, commitment and skill required to play at the highest level. But hey, that’s why fighting games are a real mans game right? At least all of us in the FGC know it. lol

    • Ban Midō #Anime#TaskForce

One of the biggest reasons I dropped fighting games, none of my friends could get into it, and I was taking nonstop ass beatings.

  • Azrael VG

Daigo didn’t win a major …Omg now I have to tear down his posters and find someone else to worship.
