While many have speculated as to who may be behind development of the upcoming Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX, Sega continued to keep quiet on the subject until today’s location test in Japan. Dengeki Online is reporting that Ecole Software and French-Bread, the studios behind other popular fighting series like Melty Blood and Under Night In-Birth, have been tasked with bringing this new title to life.
Dengeki also wrote up some of their thoughts on four of the characters that are playable at this weekend’s location tests (Asuna, Shana, Mikoto, and Kirino) and the support characters that followed them from their respective series. We are currently in the process of translating these new details, so stay tuned.
For now, feel free to check out the small gallery of new images below, as well as Club Sega Shinjuku’s location test, which is currently being broadcast live.
Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX is scheduled to arrive in arcades next spring, with a console version following sometime after.
