Today, Arc System Works revealed a few more glimpses at the story mode for their upcoming PlayStation 3 fighter, BlazBlue Chronophantasma. As with previous games in the BlazBlue series, BBCP includes a adventure game-style story mode, fully voiced and estimated to last over 30 hours. Below, you’ll find screenshots from the opening scenes of one of the game’s three scenarios, Chronophantasma. Ragna, Jin and the others, each carrying their thoughts, gather on the battlefield of Ikaruga!
The Imperator Finally Makes Her Move
At the beginning of the Chronophantasma volume, the Imperator, ruler of the Novus Orbis Librarium, appears. She conspires with Relius and Hazama, two key figures of the Librarium. Their words foreshadow the ominous events to come. What exactly is the Imperator plotting!?
Ragna, Seeking the “Wedge of Kushinada”
While the Imperator, Relius and Hazama plot in secret, Ragna heads to the grave of the nun who raised him. While visiting the grave, he tells her that he met his younger brother Jin and younger sister Saya again. Rachel, onlooker of the world, then appears before him. Ragna asks Rachel about the “Wedge of Kushinada,” which according to his master Jubei, is capable of defeating the Imperator. He believes that if he only had the Wedge, he can put a stop to the Imperator’s rampage…
