UPDATE – Similar guides were posted today for Jago and Glacius, so be sure to check those out as well for a complete look at the game’s known roster.

Bryan “DrDogg” Dawson recently put together a detailed breakdown of Killer Instinct’s Sabrewulf on the Prima Games website. The guide focuses on how to properly utilize many of his moves in the upcoming Xbox One reboot, based on the Evo 2013 build of the game. For example, the guide notes that most of his moves are unsafe at the moment, save for the light punch version of Ragged Edge. For the rest of his moves, it’s best to use meter for an Instinct Cancel, similar to an FADC in Street Fighter IV, to make the moves safe and gain slight frame advantage.

The guide also touches on how the game’s general system mechanics affect Sabrewulf. The Shadow Counter system in particular is one that players have to watch out for as Sabrewulf’s multi-hit moves (such as Ragged Edge) can easily be Shadow Countered off the first hit when blocked.

Check out the rest of the guide over at Prima Games to learn more.
