Namco Bandai Games recently sent out a new group of screenshots for Soulcalibur II HD Online, which they announced this past weekend at San Diego Comic-Con. These images showcase how this classic fighter from the fifth console generation looks in modern high-definition. While obviously lacking the detail of its modern successors, the graphics seem to have survived the transition quite well.

Soul Calibur II HD Online is set to be released on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live this fall.

    No Taki…. Da F*ck is this Sh*t?

Your waifu’s still in the game. They don’t have to get screenshots of every character, it’s just pre-release media.

  • Tanjisaem

60 fps for the love of f*ck!!!! ahhh!!!!!

    • Nael

Game was already 60fps on PS2/GC/Xbox, why do you think this is somehow changing?

I hope they put the console exclusives into this like Link, spawn and heihachi if they do I will def buy this.

    • Hailstorm

Link was denied, Heihachi is guaranteed, Spawn is quite possible

other than Heihachi I doubt it. They’d have to go through Licenses with Nintendo and whoever owns the Spawn Comics. Highly doubt Namco wants to spend money on that or go through the hassle.

I couldn’t care less about the trouble they have to go through no point remaking something and adding online if my mains are not playable.

so you played this game about equally as much on 3 different consoles and mained the exclusives in each one… Respect I guess.

But they could careless that you don’t get your main because the announced it as the PS2 version, just google it. So there were no surprises. And whoever is dumb enough to expect Link on a non nintendo console then say “or no buy”

Well I doubt namco want their money, they know they’re not getting it

The game looks good, but the new widescreen resolution makes the stages feel kinda empty.

this is what the game looks like on ps2 and gamecube emulators 😉
