The Indiegogo campaign for Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm has progressed nicely the past few weeks, and they are very close to hitting the half-way point for their first goal. A few updates have come form Nyu-Media in recent weeks regarding various parts of the game, so we figured it would be good to round them up.
Nyu-Media recently announced that Maximilian, creator of the popular Assist Me! series, will be joining James Chen as the second English commentator. Yatagarasu’s dynamic commentary feature provides real-time analysis of the match at hand, making it rather when compared to other fighting games. It should be interesting to hear what Max has in store.
Next, after the fundraiser reached the $30,000 mark, a piece of bonus art was released for Kazuma Kotaro, one of Attack on Cataclysm’s new characters. Kotaro is half of the pair that will be added to the game regardless of donations. Check out the art below and let us know what you think.
And last but certainly not least, the official Indiegogo page was recently updated with details for each of the new characters’ fighting styles. We’ve included descriptions for Kotaro and Azure below, but be sure to visit the campaign’s homepage for information on Nene, Aja Salisbury, Qadl, and Chiriakuta.
Kotaro carries a short sword, but it isn’t her primary weapon. She’ll be agile, have fast attacks, and many mid-air moves. She’ll have either numerous mid-air special attacks or moves to dominate the air.
Like the main protagonists, Azure has a standard fighting style. His basic game play concept is that he can continuously attack. For example, we plan to have a continually-useable charge-type flying weapon as one of his main attacks.
Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm’s fundraiser currently sits at $33,334 with twenty-four days left to reach their $68,000 goal. Feel free to visit their official Indiegogo page for more information on the title and what you can do to help.
