Only a few months after information was released early for Mortal Kombat’s PC release, it seems another NetherRealm Studios title may have recently been outed by Amazon. This new leak is for Injustice: Gods Among Us, more specifically a Game of the Year edition that’s supposedly set to appear on the PlayStation Vita on November 6.

While this is obviously only a rumor at this point, NetherRealm previously offered a similar bundle for Mortal Kombat that was released for consoles before eventually appearing on Sony’s handheld system. A game of the year edition for Injustice, which has received a ton of downloadable content since its initial release, could be the perfect thing attract new players and continue its success.

We’ve contacted the developers on this matter and will be sure to update this article with their responses as soon as possible.

YES! I knew it! (who didn’t, honestly?). If that turns out to be true, I’ll be able to have all the dollar-milking DLC (at least until the first Season Pass) from the game at a decent price.

Still on the fence if getting the battle edition is worth it just for the stick, and then trade the regular game for the GOTY edition. Any suggestions? How good is the PDP stick bundled with the game?

Nah man, just get the goty buy a separate stick.
Wish they’d release sf x tekken in the same way with all dlc included.

      • xanderglz

I do have one already (a HORI RAP3 KAI), but I wanted to know if the PDP one was worth it for both, collecting and using. Thanks for your answer, man.

dont’ get stick if you get ps4/xbox1. cause stick man not work on them? l don’t know lol.

I’m not planning to get a next gen console anytime soon, so I don’t think about tomorrow yet. Even then, there’ve always been custom-made adaptors, so I wouldn’t worry too much (not for now, at least)

You shohuldnt mention pc because they arent getting this game for another 2 years. HAHAHAHA PC MASTER RACE

    • Anjon

Judging by how long MK stayed relevant, I’m not entirely sure it’ll matter if a PC release for Injustice comes out…

      • Michael_Glade

        mk is still in evo…….

        • xanderglz

starting and ending on friday, which isn’t exactly what most people would want

Not to diss on the game or anything, but is there a place out there that has actually named Injustice their Game of the Year? Considering it hasn’t been out for a year and even the year in gaming it came out in isn’t over yet.

    • Anjon

Since it’s the only new fighting game to come out this year, I think it winning Fighting Game of the Year is pretty free.

      • xanderglz

Do you know if they consider “expansions” as eligible games for the award? Because if it’s so, it will have some competition in DOA 5 Ultimate

There is the F2P Tekken game that dropped a little bit ago. Man, wouldn’t that suck, losing GotY to a free-to-play?

    • Dinoegg96

      It could be a placeholder

And I will now soon be getting this game….

Wow, Vita is such an amazing handheld for a fighting game fan. So many fighting games that run perfectly and work so well with Vita’s dpad.

I got BlazBlue for free with PS+ and I’m quite impressed. It’d never be my main fighting game console, but it’s probably the best handheld (by quite a bit) I’ve ever played for fighting games. Hope the PS4 dpad is as nice as the Vita’s.

I only see one little problem with portables in general, though, and it’s the lack of the R2/L2 buttons. A lot of games currently use that many buttons, and without being able to connect a 3rd party pad/stick to your handheld, hotkeys are necessary. And even when Vita’s pads, analogs and buttons are generally well built, I’m not sure if they’re made for that kind of treatment. Fighting games are very demanding on buttons and controls, and FGs are one of the reasons why they could wear out sooner.

I don’t see the Vita wearing out like that. I’ve been playing lots fighting games on it since it released, and mine is still in perfect condition. The Vita is actually built very sturdy, I don’t see it just becoming loose or worn out any time soon if ever. You’d have to throwing the vita at the wall out of rage for it to do that.

As far as pads go, I actually much prefer using the Vita as a controller than PS3’s controller or FG’s.

If NRS gets the graphics right this time, I’m totally in. Love to have my fighting games on the go 😀
