Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios’ newest fighting game title Injustice: Gods Among Us will come to Japan on June 27, some two months after its release in the US and Europe. Subtitled “Kamigami (Hero) no Totsugeki” (written as “Clash of the Gods” but read as “Clash of Heroes”), the game will only be available on PlayStation 3 and Wii U, skipping on an Xbox 360 release. The Japanese release will be getting a special treat however.

Today Warner Entertainment Japan announced that the female characters Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman will receive original character skins for the Japanese version, usable from the start. You can check the costumes below in stills as well as in action in a match between Harley Quinn and Catwoman.

Japanese Version Original Skins “AmeComi”

A comment from Fumi Hirano, the voice of Catwoman:

“Catwoman is a character I’ve always admired. I went for a shivering, excited voice that captured not only her cool yet tough sexiness in battle but also her love for Batman. Instead of something cute I went a bit more for an adult, stylish sexiness. I hope that you enjoy the incredibly deep story and this take on the world of American comics.”

I’m glad I know the blood type of Catwoman’s Japanese voice actor. Would have been hard to sleep at night without that info.

    • Chuck Thompson

Blood type is important in Japanese culture. It’s akin to like say…Astrological signs here?

      • Martini Whoelse

No one cares about signs or blood type.

        • ReddChief78

Nobody cares about petty whining either

    • USD

Good thing I translated it then! Wouldn’t want you to lose your sleep!

  • Kurow Akutenshi

…Sooo the Amecomi skins that were found earlier? Not that surprised.

Also Clash of Heroes? Isn’t that MVC1?

  • DukeMagus

Seems like they’re mixing the english dub with the japanese one… or the dub is unfinished, since in battle you still hear the western version’s screams…

I thought cats only landed on their feet…

Japanese gamers won’t be down for a game where the women look like dudes. Hell the country has plenty of dudes that look like cute girls, especially compared to the injustice girls xD

Also I wonder if they read comics the way people here sometimes read manga…though manga is super easy to find online for free

    • GothicGuido

Dude this is a huuuuuuge misconception. Not everyone and their grandma loves anime and that kind of stuff in Japan. Your average Joe in Japan is not an anime fan. You’r average Japanese citizen view anime fans much like we in America view “bronies”

Also I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume your post was just good fun and not racist.

      • spades111

it was in good fun, but I never actually say that majority Japanese people watch anime. It’s actually more frowned upon there than it is here. If you’re referring to my last comment, I meant the people who are into manga… i wonder if they take interest in foreign comics like some people here are.

Side note… the gamers and anime fans are more or less categorized in the same group of otakus in japan. as in if you don’t watch anime chances are that you probably don’t game either unless it’s playing something on a cell phone

        • GothicGuido

Good fun… Is good fun lol. Glad to hear were on the same page.

      • ROBorBOB

I don’t see any misconceptions here. Fact many men are more attractive than the injustice girls in a feminine way. Hell there are skinny American guys who with wigs on would look more attractive than Wonderwoman

also I don’t think you bother to read….just jump on Japanese defense force

Guess the annoying thing is the whole benefit of the doubt thing. Guys like you who can remotely see racism in tiny things like this are keeping racism alive just as much as actual racist

      • almost every japanese young person (>22) ive met is an anime fan.

  • Beb0p

You’d think instead of hearing meow it would be replaced with nyaa.

  • Pooh Hardy

    kitana can version

  • samirerre

and for our japanese gamers we have fanservice , becouse we all know
they like nothing better then boobs n’ tits shoved up on thiere face’s
after all its the hent…ANIME LAND.

Even though I’m not crazy about these costume’s, they’d better come to the non Japanese versions, and at the same price: free.
