  • Should have had more views. Game is amazing. Good games to everyone.

  • MCHAWKING

Event looked pretty cool. Fuudo looked heads and tails above everyone else there, including his Japanese counterparts. Gentleman Thief did really well for himself props to him.

  • H_Magnus

Amazing tourney. And GentlemanThief is a hero.

  • TS

    Sweet tournament.

  • Bavo Bruylandt

Fuudo walked over GentlemanThief in the finals as if it wasn’t even a match. Was there such a skill gap between him and the other Japanese invites? What was the level of those players?

    • soakrates

GentlemanThief beat two great Japanese players on his way to grand finals. Fuudo was just on another level.

As a player in the SEGA Cup tourney, I have to say:

THANK YOU VERY MUCH to Alex Valle, Level | Up, Mike Watson, Super Arcade, Jeff Beckham, LA Akira, and SEGA for creating such an AWESOME event!

It was one of the best experiences, not just in tounaments or in gaming, but in my life. I truly had a blast, was able to meet players I’ve been playing for years for the first time in person, was able to meet players dozens and dozens of new players, was able to get casuals with the great and legendary Itazan (where I was, of course, beaten), had the chance to attempt to communicate in broken and painfully basic Japanese with Fuudo and Choufu KK Sarah, as well as have a great excuse to experience beautiful Los Angeles in all its glory for the first time (special thanks to Shidosha for showing me around!)

This experience as a tournament was well worth any cash it took to make it there and then some — thank you SEGA for making it all possible

Fuudo is on a whole new level in VF only Chibita “The God of VF” can give a challenge to Fuudo “The Titan of VF”.

Congrats to GentlemanThief for making it to Grand Finals he gets better every tourney.

Good Games goes out to all the Sega Cup players and Organizers.
