Persona continues his look back on King of Fighters XIII today with a brand new K’ combo video. Even though he is one of the most popular characters in the game, K’ is one of the harder characters to score 100% damage with. Just more proof that damage isn’t everything.

As always, notations and more follow after the video below.

-COMMENTS-

I’m not sure if it’s K’ himself or the console version system but his damage has been tone down a ton. Those easy 100% combos you see in the arcade version can still be done but the damage isn’t enough to get 100% anymore. No problem, there’s still ways to get 100% combos but it takes a lot more effort now. First starting out with K’, I’ll admit that it started off pretty bad since there’s already a ton of K’ combos around but once I started getting into him more, tons of ideas started popping up. I think I’ve come to the point where I can be a little fancy (not as fancy as some other people’s combos) but still afford to dish out great damage. Overall this is one of my favorite videos that I’ve done for the game so far.

K’ has actually been decreasing in popularity for a while now.

Yeah, I don’t really see him much anymore, either in weeklies or majors. Even just watching sporadically, though, I see Shen Woo and Mr. Karate all the time.

Didn’t he get the nerfhammer hard like Raiden for the console release?

    • Los Illuminados

it has been that way since the console release of KOF XIII. K’ Dash got nerf on the console release 🙁 ,but he still pretty good. it means you have to work a little harder with him and not have it easy with him like in the arcade version. K’ corner combos are still very strong, but his mid gameplay has change in my opinion. i hope with this video and watching 1 of the best, if not the best K’ Dash player in world Luis Cha from Mexico play K’Prime will get people start playing him again.
