Fikra, organizer of last year’s Kuwait Battle Royale and Tougeki UMvC3 qualifier, and the Lothan Youth Achievement Center (LOYAC), a Kuwait-based non-profit organization focused on youth development, are teaming up to host a special video game, cosplay and charity event. The Kuwait 4 Kenya (K4K) Charity Tournament will feature tournaments for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Dead or Alive 5 (5 KWD entry each) as well as a free cosplay contest. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the K4K charity.

We are proud to announce LOYAC’s K4K (Kuwait for Kenya) charity tournament that will be held in GUST University on Thursday April 11th at 6PM at GUST main auditorium. This event will be broadcast throughout the world with commentary provided by LuckyGG! and on Fikra’s channel on TwitchTV.com.

The Japanese embassy in Kuwait is also proud to be part of this event and will be participating as judges for the cosplay part of this event!

LOYAC established the K4K Project in 2006 with an aim to help Kenyans help themselves with a focus on women and youth. K4K works closely with disadvantaged communities to establish sustainable projects that contribute to alleviate poverty and give the people access to basic life and health services. K4K partners with Foundation for Sustainable Development (FSD) to facilitate the trips and supervise the projects.

Fikra was chosen to help organize this event due its strong ties to the youth in Kuwait and its focus on engaging the youth in fun and creative ways. Fikra is proud to organize an event such as this, as it represents Fikra’s own values and responsibilities.

For more information on the K4K Project and donation details, visit the K4K page on YouCaring.com. Donations can be made by PayPal or credit card.

As mentioned above, the tournament will be streamed on the FikraKW TwitchTV channel at 11 AM AST (UTC +3).
