Level|Up Series Highlights the Importance of Rivalries in Competition; TRB vs. UCI UMvC3 5v5 Exhibition Announced for First Final Strike Event

The folks over at Level|Up Series recently put together a short promo titled “Arcades and Rivalries” that revolves around the idea that old-school arcade atmospheres and having rivals both ignite something in competition that casuals and other such training sessions can’t match. The video features community veterans like Daniel “Clockwork” Maniago of BROKENTIER and Alex Valle, who offer their insight on the topic and provide examples from their history on the competitive circuit.

Included at the end of the video is a quick teaser for a special 5v5 Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 exhibition between regulars from The Runback and FG@UCI’s ranbats that’s scheduled to go down at the first Final Strike event next Friday, March 22. This appears to be an attempt to start a brand new rivalry between two of Southern California’s largest competitive hubs, something that may be necessary due to recent accusations that the region has fallen off as of late.

Final Strike is a series of special collaborative events presented by Level|Up Series and Shoryuken that will allow competitors to garner a few more ranking points in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 before their respective finales at Wednesday Night Fights and The Runback. If you’re interested in attending, more information can be found in our original announcement post.

Feel free to check out the video and let us know what your thoughts are on this topic. Also, be sure to chime in on who you think will win the special UMvC3 team exhibition.
