Team Mad Catz competitor and fighting game legend Daigo Umehara and TAITO STATION are teaming up to host a series of charity events in Japan. From January 19 to May 18, Umehara will be visiting five different Taito Station stores throughout the country as part of the “UMEHARA x TAITO STATION Special Charity Event BATTLE TOUR 2013“. Each event will feature a Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 kumite (capped at 50 players), as well a talk session with Umehara. Five lucky participants will also win a prize from Umehara.
Each of the events will be streamed on the Taito Ustream channel. On the Ustream page, viewers will be able donate towards the cause. All entry fees and donations will go to towards the Tokyo Council of Social Welfare’s Tokyo Zen-i Bank.
