Darkstalkers Resurrection – Capcom’s Felicia Breakdown

By on March 1, 2013 at 3:12 pm

Haunts and Combofiend are back with another Darkstalkers character breakdown to help you prepare for the release of the Resurrection bundle in a couple of weeks. They cover Felicia in this episode, focusing on her pokes, mix-up game, and combo capabilities. Felicia is a powerful and aggressive character with a lot of good normals, though being proficient with them means also being well acquainted with the spacing game.

I liked when SRK had videos like those showing each one of the characters of MvC3 and each of its moves and proprieties.

    Sadly, they are all gone.

    • Mash Harder

Those were Maximillian ASSIST ME! videos weren’t they?

      • jchensor

No, we actually made them for the Marvel Wiki when MvC3 first came out.  Since then, we just haven’t had the resources to make them again, as they really did take a ton of time to make.  🙁

        • Keits

Yup.  That was an insane 3 weeks of my life working 6 hour days to make deadline.  In retrospect its just like game development!

          • Kyrie Hartmann

            Yep, exactly those.

I knew those took time to do, but I didn’t knew that took so long.

Thanks for them, and thanks to you.

  • Man, Felicia is pretty solid.

This game is mostly pretty balanced.  There are defined tiers, but very few lopsided matchups.  And it’s got the best comeback mechanic ever, it’s got varied, interesting and powerful offense and mixups.  You can come back just by honestly playing the game.

      • ButtPlugs

        what comeback mechanic?

  • Beb0p

You know, for awhile I thought Capcom was going to make a more modern DS but go figure.

       Personally, I’m glad they aren’t.

One thing to take away from this compilation, is that this is the first time Vampire Hunter (or whatever ‘Darkstalkers 2’ was called) will be released in the states officially.  It’s surprising that the best US version of Darkstalkers before this title is for the PSP.

  • Thank God the $15 that this game costs I’ve spent them in getting a import copy of Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection for the PS2, wich includes EVERY GAME in the series, including the rare Vampire Hunter 2 and Vampire Savior 2 (which are enhanced versions of Darkstalkers 2 and 3 respectively). While I hope this game garners interest from newcomers in order for Capcom to make a new game (their excuse) I think this game will end up like 3rd Strike Online, people buying it just for the sake of nostalgia…

    • ButtPlugs

Vampire Savior 2 is a shit game, only thing going for it are those cool stage colors.

      •  At least you get the complete roster in the PS2 collection, including Dee which is exclusive to the PS2 versions of Savior, Hunter 2 and Savior 2.

     when does this come out??????

  • yo felicia’s darkforce cat helper does not attack high.  that’s a marvel thing
