  • Please be a Happ/iL stick…

  • HombreGranJefe

Um, fightsticks aren’t supposed to be light.  Why don’t you just go ahead and ruin everything and make it wireless while you’re at it?

    • tiki.92

Hori V3/VX SA, Exar Sanwa Stick say hi…..

    • Ramil Garcia Doronio

I honestly doubt it’s any lighter than a TE/HRAP/Qanba, by lightweight they probably mean it’s not over 10 pounds.

      • HombreGranJefe

I guess lightweight is subjective.  I don’t get particularly fatigued by heavy sticks; I have an original SF4 fightstick which I could attach to the end of a long stick and use as the head of a warhammer, a SCV Madcatz stick which is lighter (about right) and a Tekken 6 CE stick which I make people play on when they’ve committed a party foul due to being a piece of crap.  When I hear ‘lightweight’ I think ‘Tekken 6 stick.’

    • Robbie J

its ok you’re an 09er, your new, you just didnt know

      • Jasin Walraven

        09’er jokes are old. Stop.

        • Robbie J

yea I can see you 09’ers getting mad when getting called out on your ignorance.

          • OP8

I’m an ’84er, and I think the ’09er jokes are dumb. I’m happy to see the community grow.

          • Robbie J

your first competitive fighting game was in 84? lolok

          • 1338h4x

I didn’t even know there was a FGC for Karate Champ.

          • 1338h4x

I didn’t even know there was a FGC for Karate Champ.

          • PJ

I love when people claim ignorance on something while misusing the word your instead of you’re. If YOU’RE going to try to sound superior to someone, at least try not to sound like an uneducated dillhole while doing so. 🙂

          • Robbie J

Retards gonna retard I guess. You realize you’re is a contraction of you and are, right……….. re-read my sentence with YOUR correction. “…….getting called out on you are ignorance” ………HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA it looks like someone didn’t pass elementary English.

          •  Whats wrong with those who started playing fighting games in 2009? Does it really make you that much better than others?

          • Graham Shryock

No, in fact it makes him look even worse since they’re better than him in such a shorter amount of time.

          • Robbie J

not at all, there is nothing wrong with being a newcomer, just when they become fags and hipsters. ie: Raving about some old game they never played competitively, and just picked up. 3soE

-crying about nerfs and op characters within the first few weeks/months, when they dont play the game competitively or try to  figure out a strategy to beat the “op” character they complain about

-complaining about sticks not supposed to be lightweight, and then in a sarcastic way joke about wireless sticks, when there have been non madcatz wireless and lightweight sticks in the past (but this guy actually explained himselfso he’s not that bad.

TL;DR -09’ers/scrubs make retarded comments, and I hope these companies aren’t actually listening to them

      • Buccaneer_9

         I think it’s supposed to be “you’re”.

  • I really want to know what kind of stick this is.  It looks beautiful.  If the parts are good ones I’m jumping on this.

    • wigsplitter

just pure speculation but I think its a PDP stick with Happ/IL parts.  All they did was change the layout due to the fact that the MK layout limits you.  Just think have you ever seen any vids  of a MK tourny where a person used the MK stick?  I sure the hell cant LOL.  So I’m thinking  that’s why they are saying this stick is lighter (compared to the MK one ). but like I said in the beginning just speculation that I hope is true.

      • d3v

From the shots, it looks to be a JLF with an LB-30N bat top adaptor + OBSC-30 clear buttons.

  • tiki.92

If the stick has quality parts, then for $150 USD, the bundle is an incredible deal. They even got the Astro City layout…. That’s a done deal for some folks around here!

    • Johnson Nguyen

All I wish for is the HitBox to come in an Astro City layout.

    • Johnson Nguyen

All I wish for is the HitBox to come in an Astro City layout.

  • xeleion

Has anyone played a working build yet?  It is a 4- or 6- button game that can be played on a traditional layout?  Mainly thinking about the fact that it looks like it plays similar to Mortal Kombat, although I do remember reading that you block with back in this game.

    • sb

The game was at a few Comic Cons which people played the button layout is like UMvC3 L,M,H,S

  • Sinestrosmight

    Needs more Green Lantern

  • Omar Kabada

As everybody says, if this has quality parts, Im in.   Before this I wasn’t interested in the game, for me (a non-MK fan) it was MK with super heroe skins.  But dam, that stick looks good.   Well played guys, well played.

    • Raffospink

It’s not an MK clone…… GAAAAAWD, it’s understandable that everyone has that as a first impression, but it’s not.

  • Doomsday on the stck. Thats pretty interesting.

At first I wasn’t going to touch this game but i should give it a try i guess.

    • It’s looking more and more likely Doomsday is playable, but I still think he might just be a Sub-Boss when everything is said and done.

  • sb

Oh hell yea i gotta get that fightstick bundle another one added to the collection WB is going all out with Injustice glad to see Ed Boon and his team get the support they deserve

  • Webster Snow Jr.

No one gives a shit! This garbage won’t last for more than 4 months TOPS!

MK community is shit (they know dick about quality fighting games).

    And NRS devs are worthless.

Hope they all get fired once Injustice bombs.

    • daedae22

You saw the stick right? Have you not been reading the posts? 90% of people don’t give a shit about the game. WE WANT THAT STICK. But I’m sensing you’ve played one two many Kung Laos or Kabals sorry you couldn’t adapt. Don’t bother with a come back I don’t play MK either.

    • Kenny Sulaimon

I was getting worried, I went through like 20 comments and there was no blatant ignorance/hate. Thanks man, you saved the day. (sarcasm)

      • Webster Snow Jr.

Glad to be of service. Can’t wait to laugh in your face when this shit grows sour quick and no one wants to circle jerk to poorly developed garbage.

NRS/Midway doesn’t learn from their mistakes. When will you?

daedae22: I bet you want the “stick” from NRS too. supporting their trash. better find out if that stick is from madcatz before u waste a dime.

        • CptPokerface

Sir please, no one wants to know about your masturbation and ass-play related fantasies involving NRS developers.

        • Jason_Trag

haha, u got the nerve to talk shit when you play your anime kiddy marvel 3 and trade fighter ae: the slow edition. Both being low quality dumb down shit. fucking scrub

          • Jasin Walraven

responding to his dissing a game by dissing two well established games makes you look like a bigger ass than him.

          • Jason_Trag

both games are still garbage, I forgot to mention sf x tekken as well. Most people are sheep, they will play with a fresh turd if capcom gave it to them, establishment means nothing at this point as far as quality.

          • Graham Shryock

Both games are only the two major headlining titles at pretty much every major around the country.

Looks like the world disagrees with you.

          • Raffospink

No, the FGC disagrees. MK did infinitely better than Marvel and others in the general public.

          • Amer1ka

It’s amazing what advertisement, violence and a brand name will do to a titles sales. Also, Marvel did pretty well if you count MVC3 and UMVC3 sales. It’s just that Capcom of Japan expected UMvC3 to sell about twice as many copies as MVC3 because MVC3 was doing well and instead they alienated their audience because they released it 8 months after MVC3.

MK sold well but did very poorly in regards to tournament staying power. It basically got bought by the CoD bros who wanted to try their hand at the hot new fighting game and then it got dumped just as quickly. I am not shitting on the game at all, it was fun. That’s just what happened.

          • Terry Barcelona

It’s interesting to me that almost everyone who uses the phrase ‘dumb[ed] down’ comes across as a frothing sub-literate…

          • Amer1ka

Wow, somebody pissed you off. You must REALLY REALLY like MK to be that blind. Whoever said passion can make a person blind was very correct.

        • tutsirai123

lol shut the fuck up already nerd, good lord you sound like a fat jackass who didn’t wake up on time to get his daily sausage biscuit with cheese at Mcdonalds.

        • super menz

Don’t worry guys this guy is known phaggot in the MK9 community

        • Graham Shryock

You obviously weren’t familiar with MadCatz reputation before the SFIV TE came out. They were known for trash, 3rd-rate accessories.

Bashing a stick that isn’t even out yet and clinging like a hopeless fanboy to a company that’s only been making decent accessories for this generation of consoles and you tell everyone else to learn? Plz.

    • sb

LMAO damn bro why so butthurt you must really suck at MK lol if this game only last 4 months then i will be enjoying the hell out of it for those 4 months and continue to enjoy it i never heard of a game mysteriously stop working because of these time frames you scrubs come up with about how long a game last its just sad

    • nutzilla13

Your attempts to gain respect amongst the FGC by repeatedly trashing NRS and everything they do has become tiresome and scrubby. Admit it, you bought MK 4 times. You broke your disc in disgust 3 times and bought the game again each time. You are NRS’s biggest supporter. Maybe you will buy Injustice 5 times?

      • Jasin Walraven

started out good, but you lost it at the 3rd sentance and it became sad 🙁

    • Raffospink

      You need to get laid.

  • Jasin Walraven

even if the parts are bad, you can sell the game to pay for quality parts 🙂

  • Looks like Madcatz, but then again, who knows if this stick is legit!   Why couldn’t they make a retro throw back stick made of wood?  It looks like a generic Madcatz rip off!!!!

    • Robbie J

i know, madcatz is a hori rip off

  • GC001

I doubt it’s Mad Catz… Don’t they have a deal with Sanwa or otherwise use their own clone parts in their joysticks?

It’s likely PDP or another company making this joystick.
I have no problem with bat handles myself but do prefer balltops.

It’s interesting that the buttons appear to be semi-transparent/glossy blue but that doesn’t mean they’re Sanwas.  Very unlikely.

We’ll see…  I wouldn’t count on this being a high-quality joystick no matter whose case design they copy.

Maybe Markman or someone else with industry contacts can find out who’s making this joystick and whether the components are clones or legit arcade parts.

  • I… I want this case!

  • PJ

if it’s a PDP stick, no thanks.

Plus it looks like the top plate of that thing is recessed. That’s gonna give super uncomfortable lines from the edge digging into your palms while playing.

    • sb

    • tutsirai123

PDP makes quality products, What are you on about?

  •  I just want a stick with a bat top

    • Ciarán Plunkett

You know you can add a bat top to almost any stick for $5, right?

  • samael789

And still no Wii U collector’s edition? What happened to pimping the new console?

    • sb

Needs to catch up first to play with the big boys

  • Wow arcade stick with the game. That sounds like a deal, but I still want to see how the game is before I get it. C’mon Demo.

  • the stick is whack as fuck!

  • KubikiriTurkojin

does madcat have a deal with srk or some shit? i made a comment how mc uses sanwa parts that didnt make it through sanwas own quality checks and buys them in bulk for cheap and makes their cheap ass sticks that way. 1 day later, the comment is deleted. fucking bs. way to go guys, lets stay objective.

    • GC001

It’s one thing if you add constructive, valid criticism.

It’s another if you’re being a dick about it and seem to have some twisted vendetta…
If you can look at your own statements — especially Line 2 — and still say you’re being rational and fair then there’s no hope for you…

  • yo… I’m gonna play this game because I want to beat up Villains and heroes.

    I already have a stick.

    Figure looks cool.
    movie on netflix.

i think ill just get the game

  • Hey, this is Sebastian, PR Manager for PDP and Director of AGE. I would like to confirm that PDP is producing the fight stick for the Injustice Battle Edition pack.

    • sb

I figured that thanks for clearing that up for the people that wanted to know i have the PDP MK9 stick and i will be adding this to my collection as well nice fightstick

    • wigsplitter

Like sb I was thinking the same thing.  So since it’s produce by PDP can we say that the parts are Happ/IL?  Man I hope so……. finally a tournament style Happ stick.  Also I see that it has translucent buttons that we can change the colors, soooooo can we customize like a sparky or will it be better to add one in to get full customization?  thanks  in advance

    • Jacope Jesfen

What parts are being used for this stick? Any specs? I really wanna change my pre order, but I want to know the quality first!

    • d3v

Hi Sebastian, can we get confirmation on what parts are used?

  • Legion

NRS just needs to let this whole american stick for american games thing go. I brought the PDP stick for MK it was utter rubbish.

I even modded it with true IL parts and it was still bad.

Ended up getting a Madcatz tournament panel….. best mk layout experience i have ever played with Japanese parts…

  • B Blade Brown

there wasn’t any good populer fighting games around for a long time for a lot people to be interested in them everyone wasn’t born in the 70s and 80s. 3rd strike came out way to late on the ps2 and thats what mostly everyone had and even if you owned a dreamcast you didn’t see a lot of games on the shelf other than sonic house of the dead and crazy taxi.So why make fun of people that started playing SF4 it wasn’t like there was a Street fighter 3.5 that was cam out during the drout

  • Adam West

All’s I can say is that I’m so happy this game ditched MK’s dumb ass block button for a more classic “back is block”. The graphics are not my style at all but I will definitely be giving this a shot! Hoping to pick up one of those sticks second-hand to mod the f*ck outta it. 😀
