May of this year played host to KVO THE ULTIMATE BATTLE 2012, one of the largest UMvC3 tournaments to date in Japan. But 2012 isn’t the end of KVO…

Hours before New Year’s in Japan, Kyamei, organizer of KVO 2012, announced KVO 2013 x GODSGARDEN x a-cho. Next year’s KVO will again take place during Golden Week in Japan, April 27-28, but this year will be held at neo amusement space a-cho, the largest arcade in Kyoto. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 makes its return to the tournament line-up and will be held on the first day, while Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!!, the upcoming update to AH3, will be making its KVO debut on the second day of the event.

    KVO UMVC3 was fun to watch last year. While the Japanese aren’t a skilled as the USA, it was fun to watch the greater character variety you don’t see in most US Tournaments.
