Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 – Rufus Overhead Crossover Tech

P.M. recently posted a new video, partially in response to EG|Justin Wong’s assertion that there is no more Rufus tech to discover. This utilizes Rufus’ overhead to crossover a downed opponent, screwing up any mashed DPs. By utilizing timing and distance you can control what side of the opponent you end up on, setting up some mix-up opportunities.

Justin needs to realize that the 25th anniversary tournament threw his playing career in the bin.

Problem X done blew him up at Canada cup and he still didn’t put in the work to beat the player or the character.

With the IPL monster looming there’ll be more infiltration types coming.
The barbarians are at the gate and they’re not spending all their time instagramming their food.

      racism

      • dementus666

Is this in response to “The barbarians…” comment?  Because I don’t see anything racist in Pussy’s post.

  • Garrett Jones

Very smart of Justin to make this statement so everyone does the hard work for him in finding new tech for his character.

the only “new tech” that rufus needs, and i guess that many others think like me, is the ex messiah kick not going over crouching oponents, NEVER! One huge problem that rufus has now is that the top tier characters (which are the relevants for tournament play) can get out of rufus pressure with an uppercut, another invincible move, a focus backdash… but rufus cannot do the same… capcom please…

  • Austin Riddle

Can we please get a Guile player to say there’s no new tech.  I’ve never seen a practical post for guile on the front page, just crazy touch of deaths, and weird charge buffering by desk.

Over the holiday break, I’m going to try to work on a Guile video I’ve been planning for long time.  It will be new tech that no one has done with Guile yet.

    • Bill Cosby

That’s because the front page is run by a bunch of mongoloids. Dieminion frequently posts cool guile vids to facebook with unblockables, corner cross up tech, OS, etc.

ah there’s the racism chomsky was referring too

        • Bill Cosby

Yea there’s….nothing remotely racist about anything I said.

Also “too”, so I’m led to believe you’re stupid, and will stop addressing you.

          • Austin Riddle

I’m stoked for the video Gilley!  Also can you send some links Cosby, I can’t find anything like that on Dieminions twitter and youtube.

  • Chomsky Zinn

any chance that Wong meant that there’s no new tech that /he/ can discover? /that/ i believe

  • http://twitter.com/TBM24x Chris B

    This isn’t tech #1
    and #2 this isn’t new
    and #3 really SRK?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1547598839 Jamal Robinson

This is old and you can easily blow this up with delayed reversals

    • http://twitter.com/TBM24x Chris B

or just properly mashing dp, or quick rise *gasp*

The editors of SRK shouldn’t be allowed to post “tech” without fucking testing it. Embarrassment

      • Bill Cosby

Go into training mode and try to quick rise after an ultra. Go on, I’ll wait.

        • http://twitter.com/TBM24x Chris B

          Wouldn’t have posted if I didn’t try it already…….

      • http://twitter.com/Siegvriel Gabriel Aumala

Don’t you retards ever read video descriptions? “The setups feature how to set it up from normal recovery and be safe from quick stand. ” besides if you know your opponent is mashing DP you could just block after dashing, then punish, no one can react to the st. HP.

man this author is really dumb -.- this shit is old ass hell. Once again this is not new Tech ZZZzzzzzzzz……..

  • Blake Zee

Yeah this isn’t new,  it’s also useless because people just fast stand there

    • http://twitter.com/craigkeller Craig Keller

its actually most used after a hard knockdown. It isnt useless. works VERY well. Use it after a forward throw in the corner or after an ultra mid screen (or in the corner). Dash twice after ultra, dash once after throw.

  • http://twitter.com/Thraphelga le sun

Justin Wong, switch to maining Makoto, the world has been waiting.

  • http://twitter.com/craigkeller Craig Keller

been doing this since SF4. Zzz. you can actually do this off of a forward throw in the corner too, or an ultra 1 (dash once, then overhead in the corner). Mid screen its 2 dashes after ultra. I believe it also works after sweep with the same timing.
