Ed Boon Hints at Animal Man, Batwing, Swamp Thing, Blue Beetle, and Lobo Possibly Appearing in Injustice: Gods Among Us

Over the past few days, NetherRealm Studios’ Ed Boon has been dropping a number of clues regarding their upcoming DC Universe fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us and characters that we may see revealed officially in the near future. The first was a picture of a few comics accompanied by two pieces of candy, teasing that as soon as the candy was gone they would reveal a new cast member. As you can see in the image below, the comics featured are Animal Man, Batwing, and Swamp Thing. Remember, Green Arrow and Nightwing were hinted at in a similar fashion before they were officially revealed, so the possibility of one, two, or all three of these characters being included in the game is pretty good.

While all three are a little further off the radar than the other heavy hitters we’ve seen so far, they’ve seen a nice resurgence courtesy of their appearances in DC Comics’ New 52 line that launched last year.

Boon also hinted at two additional characters during an interview with Great Lakes Advocate, specifically mentioning that Blue Beetle and Lobo may find their way into the increasing roster as well.

During our interview, Boon also hinted at the inclusion of Blue Beetle and Lobo, which will be interesting for those who recognise the names — but we will have to wait for more announcements to know for sure.
