JamessMK and DarkNaTaS of The On Blast Show recently uploaded archives for two of their most recent episodes. This weekly Mortal Kombat podcast regularly invites actors and others involved with the old-school titles onto the show to discuss their time working with the franchise, but their past shows definitely kicked it up a notch.

First off, they spoke with John Turk, who is best known in the Mortal Kombat world for appearing as Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat 3, but he also portrayed Shang Tsung in the same game as well as all the other ninja characters (Scorpion, Reptile, Rain, Ermac, etc.) in the game’s subsequent updates. Turk offers some insight into how he landed the acting job and what it was like eventually portraying such a huge part of the game’s cast.

Then, on their most recent show, the duo welcomed John Tobias as the special guest. Tobias was one of the principal creators of the Mortal Kombat series and is credited with writing the franchise’s early storylines and designing a fair majority of the characters. His time on the show was spent diving into the history of the series and what it was like to be a part of the popularity explosion it experienced in the 90s.

Both of these shows are only the first part of their respective archives, so be sure to visit the official OBS Youtube channel for more. If you’re a fan of the Mortal Kombat series or even fighting games in general, do yourself a favor and check these out.
