Released back in March of 1998, Psychic Force 2012 was the sequel to one of the most innovative 3D fighting games to come out in the late 1990’s. Eschewing the regular ground based combat of traditional games, the Psychic Force series featured pitched mid air battles in a 3D field with characters tossing around elemental psychic attacks to create a unique fighting style that has rarely ever been copied (only the Senko no Ronde series comes close).

Now, in the closing months of year where the game is supposed to take place, Taito has announced that they will be re-releasing the Psychic Force 2012 over their NESiCAxLive digital distribution system for arcades. A loketest is currently scheduled from November 2 to 6 at Taito Gameworld arcade at the Shinjuku station’s south exit with a special tournament to be held on November 4 at 1PM.
