[UPDATE] Joker, Green Lantern Hal Jordan Revealed on Injustice: Gods Among Us Box Art; Green Arrow Playable at New York Comic-Con

UPDATE – NetherRealm Studios’ Ed Boon tweeted out an additional image that showcases Joker and Green Lantern in-game. Thanks to Storms over at Test Your Might for the tip.

Earlier this morning, Warner Bros. shared some media assets for NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us. While these images feature a few better looks at the recently announced Green Arrow, they also provide a peek at the box art for all three systems it will be appearing on. The cover prominently features characters like Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman, but also reveals that iconic DC Comics mainstays Joker and Hal Jordan will be part of the game’s ever-expanding cast as well.

While these developments come as no surprise due to their legacy in the DC Comics universe, it’s nice to have official confirmation of their inclusion. Check them out below and let us know what you think of their designs. We’ll keep you updated as more information regarding these fighters is released.

In addition, the accompanying press release has announced that the Injustice build making its way to New York Comic-Con will include Green Arrow as a playable character. If you’re planning on visiting the convention, this will be your first chance to get your hands on the archer, so definitely check out their booth.

New Gameplay Video, Screenshots and Box Art Revealed

Character Playable at New York Comic Con

Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment confirmed that famed superhero Green Arrow will be featured as a playable character in the upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us videogame. The title is scheduled for release April 2013 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Wii U™ system from Nintendo.

Visitors to this year’s New York Comic Con taking place at the Javits Center in New York City October 11-14 will be able to get their hands on with the game and play the Green Arrow by visiting the DC Entertainment booth (#1238) at the show.

        I disagree about the Batgallery being the best thing DC has to offer. I feel like this game would have been a great opportunity to showcase some of Flash’s Rogues, but so far that doesn’t seem to be what will go down.
