Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – Wolverine-Master’s Wesker Must Die Community Challenge Compilation

Earlier this month, Wolverine-Master put out a great Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 combo video that showcased some of the ways he took revenge on Wesker without using X-Factor, TACs, THCs, or DHCs. Soon after, he put up a challenge for others to do the same. After receiving a ton of submissions, he’s whittled the group down to his top seventeen and compiled them in the video below.

There’s much more diversity here than one would expect, with Trish, Phoenix Wright, and Tron getting just as much love as Doctor Doom and Spencer. There’s even an interesting Frank West combo in there that incorporates four shopping cart supers, so check these out and let us know which are your favorites.

    #1 was pretty anti-climactic. Especially after a Phoenix Wright combo where he finds all of the evidence during the combo.

       This deadpool combo is not standart and quite hard to perform.

      …but that freaking Rocket Racoon dealing 1m damage..wth..

      I don’t respect the players skill for the Phoenix Wright combo, it truly wasn’t that difficult of a combo.

      His patience, however, I must commend. That probably took fifty tries or so making sure he finds good evidence every time

      I used to main Deadpool. Trust me when I say that Zeohawk has the best Deadpool combos out there. I mean he killed THOR with a meter positive combo using Dr Strange and Sentinel assists. This combo he won with was also very impressive and difficult

        It wasn’t that difficult?

        Try plinking Maya with Investigate (qcf+H~S) on a PAD and without failing.
        Try to mode change in time after the “Hold it!” in order to link Spencer’s Assist to get the stun.
        Try getting ALL the 3 pieces of evidence in ONE combo.
        Try to land the Objection in time BEFORE the Maya Super ends (which is a bit tight).
        Try to LAND the jump cancelled Heavy after the crouching Heavy which is affected by A LOT of histun and then tell me this combo wasn’t “difficult”…

          I did indeed acknowledge the three pieces of evidence part.

          I could certainly see how it could be difficult. I meant “that difficult”, in comparison to the winning combo.

            Then I guess Mr. Wright is in Super Easy Mode and everyone can use him because his combos aren’t that difficult and don’t require any kind “skill”…

            If that’s what you’re saying then I wonder why no one plays him… including Top Players…[/sarcasm]

    Deadpools was actually really cool because it used that damage and hitstun reset glitch with bolo+assist. It’s super hard.

    I thought #1 isn’t a combo? You can block part way through it, the combo counter just keeps going. Why is that #1?

      What evidence do you have of this? Defeats the purpose of a combo counter if you can just block following hits.

        Not that I know anything about this individual combo, but there are certain combos that use a bug discovered near the beginning of UMvC3 where if the opponent holds forward, the combo counter keeps going even though the combo is invalid and could have been blocked. I haven’t really heard about this in a long time, though…

    I liked the Dorm and Frank combos a lot. Dorm’s was insanely scary if you ask me.

    Wow the 1million health net cost 1/2 a meter combo with Phoenix Wright that starts with in with no evidence in investigation mode and ends with him in turn about should have won hands down. I saw the winner’s “original” combo posted on SRK about a month ago.

      Thanks man! It wasn’t easy to record it… And I had trouble recording it because I either dropped the jump cancelled Heavy after the crouching Heavy in Turnabout mode because the hitstun on the combo is too much OR didn’t get the 3 good pieces of evidence in a row.

    The Deadpool combo is easily the tightest link wise in this list, next to the Viper combos. comboing after deadpool’s Quick Work is super hard and his combos have an odd feel to them.
