Tekken Tag Tournament 2 – Downloadable Character and Stage Releases Begin October 9th

Famitsu is reporting that downloadable content for Namco Bandai’s Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will begin releasing on October 9th as sequential, free updates. The content will automatically be downloaded with an online connection. Check below for screenshots and videos of the characters and stages that will be released over time.

While there’s no concrete timeline for the release schedule, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information becomes available.

      She looks broke in my opinion not sure on her banned or not banned status, does anyone know? Imagine playing against a solo player (which I hate, yes, I hate every last solo player) and landing that pillar into 99% damage or whatever that move does lmao! Like start off the match doing it. Quickest match ever, yeah yeah its punishable yada yada but ppl will get hit by that shit thats a fact.

        The pillar move is very slow and really obvious, but it would weed out beginners who don’t understand movement for sure lol.

            You clearly aren’t reading this guy’s posts. He’s saying that she has combos that can lead into a set up. Let’s say the combo ends and she baits you into a get up attack. And she does the move, its gonna hit because you won’t have enough time to get out of the way

            …and my statement still stands. When you’re under her nose (right next to her) the snap-back move can’t hit you & even if it could (which obviously can’t), it’s still slower than a wake-up move which would knock her out of her move.

            As for trying to attack from far, who in their right mind would press any attack buttons (more like mash) from afar? unless it’s a projectile move…

             The ability to counter during hitstun aka “I hit you but instead of being able to finish my combo the game gives you a do over button to reverse me and do damage off a lucky guess”

            Playing DOA is like playing rock paper scissors, except your opponent can change rock into scissors anytime you throw out paper.

      Some people will still play DoA5, it just won’t drag many players away from TTT2 because the developers neglected to update DoA’s tag system in any significant way.

       DOA has only 2 attack buttons, punch and kick, which makes combos and attacks in general extremely limited and braindead easy to do.  Tekken uses 4, which are all mapped to each limb, allowing for optimal control of your character.  Also movement in DOA is way too fast and braindead easy to do, Tekken requires practice just to move during fights, making it far more skillful and technical.

      And don’t even bring up VF, VF at least has tons of depth to make up for the flaw of having only 2 attack buttons.

      Tekken, it has the better already established community putting out great tutorials and videos. The DoA community is ass and this is coming from someone who prefers DoA over Tekken. Despite my game choice I have no illusions on which will survive longer.

      Violet has a few of Lee’s moves from T5DR SS~1+2, original Mist Step 3,4, dragon kick outside of hitman stance, acid rain rain kicks causes stun that allows for combo follow up. Not sure what else.

        It goes against the idea that you paid for a disc, so you should be free to use anything on the disc however you want, not based on an arbitrary schedule.

        It’s an ongoing debate but overall I think on disc content should always be available for use day 1 or by the player’s own efforts.

            Well, of course the desire for more cash should be weighed with the effect your revenue generating actions will have on your userbase.

            Personally, I would understand a little more if they retail prices was below comparable games and you paid ala carte for certain things like characters n stuff.  But full price for a game and scheduled DLC on disk is overall a negative proposition for me.

    Maybe I’m just splitting hairs here, but I’m kinda confused as to why Slim Bob has a different voice than Bob. Also, it sounds to me like Violet uses Lee’s in-fight voice but has his own intro — in perfect English. If they were going to make him speak English, I wish they would have done his entire intro in Lee’s signature “cow moon” Engrish. Maybe that’s just me.
