SSFIV: AE Ver. 2012 – Rose Frame/Tech Trap + Option Selects Guide by Theory Fighter

Theory Fighter returns with a couple more Rose tutorials for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ver. 2012. His first video goes over a number of 2 frame traps with Rose.

His second video covers some options selects versus Dhalsim.

So the math behind is this –
1 active frame + 8 recovery frames + 21 dash frames = 30 total for the option select. Then take this away from whatever move the Sim does.

The active frame and the recovery frames come from the meaty cr.jab so if you circumvent most of this by doing the setup though a safe jump you would take the 8 frames down to 4 making all of his escape options punishable.

You can also OS into sweep (which is pretty safe but doesn’t work all the time), U1 (which is massively punishable if they teleport forward) and ex.Soul Spiral (which is great and relatively safe). But personally i think that this OS is the safest and from a safe jump you can get a massive punish.
