In an effort to drive the point that they want Dead Or Alive 5 to be a serious competitive fighter, Team NINJA recently shared this unique promo trailer for the game.  Instead of of the usual collection of gameplay and CG footage, the promo instead shows great sporting moments through history, framed by a speech by Muhammad Ali and Bruce Lee’s famous interview from the Pierre Burton show.

Creator Joel Pagan says that the video showcases the “motivation, skill and determination needed to achieve greatness requires one to unleash the fighter within.”  It certainly seems to do just that. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

D3v has worn many hats within the general fighting game community. The self proclaimed "Asian white boy" from the Philippines has done everything from arcade stick modification to match commentary. When not writing for Shoryuken's front page, D3v spends part of his time running tournaments in the Philippines, including the country's biggest fighting game event, Manila Cup.
