Nobody is asking that questions because it’s a stupid question. Did any of you people still on the Revelations hate train even watch the Wakeup SRK episode? While it should have been obvious without it being said on the show, FChamp (and others) makes his living playing and loves competition, you want him to forfeit money he had a very good chance of winning and the chance to play good players seriously because people in the FGC have problems with the tournament organizer even though he himself never has? Why did FChamp tell people about Revelations when the powers that be in the FGC were all obviously going out of their way to hide it to try and make it fail? He’s sponsored, he can’t go to tournaments and NOT promote. That’s what they sponsor him for, they don’t do it for their own personal enjoyment or to see him win, they do it so he can promote their products. That’s ALL they care about, not punishing someone people in the FGC have a grudge against. He’s obligated to tell as many people about the tournament as possible to show his sponsors he’s worth sponsoring. And from a viewer perspective, other then being very late, there was nothing wrong with the tournament and there were some great matches. Why shouldn’t people and fans of the players be able to see them compete? As stated on the show, way too many people grabbed their pitchforks and joined the mob going out for blood with only 1 side of the story and not really knowing what they were talking about just because everyone else was doing it. There are 2 sides to every story, if you completely believe 1 side without looking into the other you are denying yourself the truth and are basing your knowledge on incomplete and possibly biased information. And because so many influential people in the FGC DO have a problem with John Nelson and Revelations, this behavior was encouraged rather then any attempt made to stop it. As mentioned on the UltraChen show, sponsors don’t see the difference between tournaments, what they see is they put in money sponsoring this tournament and the FGC collectively tried to make their investment fail because they were unable to put their personal hatred behind to help make their investment worthwhile. 

If there was such a problem with John Nelson and Tournament Legacy, the correct thing to do was to put the information out and in the open well ahead of time somewhere everyone could see it so people, players, viewers, and sponsors alike are aware of it, then tell people about the Revelations tournament and publicize the streams anyway to let people decided for themselves if it’s something they will choose to support, go to, or watch after already being properly informed, without bias. Not try to manipulate the success of the tournament themselves by collectively hiding its existence, then organizing the internet into a hateful mob based on incomplete information and personal bias to attack it and anyone involved for not doing the same. While I am sure many influential people in the FGC have their legitimate reasons hating John Nelson and Tournament Legacy, hording information, hiding information, encouraging ignorance by doing so, and trying to manipulate the success of the tournament themselves because they wanted to see it fail THAT badly and they hated John Nelson THAT much, and trying to make an enemy of every person not doing the same, can be seen as little more then petty.
